What to say here? I have no clue.....my mind is a huge, warped bowl of M&Ms, Bananas, and Steven Wallace poems melting over a smallish fire. Nothing else can fit in the bowl, and so it must eventually come to overflow into this journal.

I have not submitted anything in FOREVER!! I have been slammed with just being a stay at home mom to my two wonderful girls as the world swirls around me, keeping me safe in my own little vortex. I've not had any time for my art journaling but I am playing around with acrylic paint and canvases. I'm trying to teach myself the basics of abstract painting and I am having fun with it. I just wish I could get the paint and brush to do what I want. I need a good brush tutorial and some help with blending. I may post some of my canvases just to get some good advice. Ok, so I have two pictures of bats in my gallery, I took them at the zoo. Somebody reported them saying they were in the wrong place in my gallery, basically they said these pictures should be under photo manips and not photography. Well, they aren't photomanips, they really just came out looking kinda groovy like that (or so I thought). So I sent a note to the powers that me who responded saying that they will trust me that they aren't photomanips but that these pictures should "not be in your gallery because they offer very little clarity." I guess I am just a little butt-hurt about that. I mean, what exactly is unclear? They are bats,

OK, so I have posted SOME of my art journal, but for the most part I FEAR it will be judged for its lack of perfection or lack of pretty much anything. When I create in my journal, I try to tell the perfection fairy to take a hike, but she laughs at me, so I take her and drown her in the glitter bottle I am too afraid to use anyway, that really ticks her off, but it keeps her at bay long enough for me to create a page or two. Having a two year old provides me with plenty to do with my time, but when she is asleep and I have no homework (yeah, right), I get the bug and pull out my journal.
